How to Apply a Hair Topper — Step by Step

Identify the thinning area. Part the hair to expose the crown or affected zone. Ensure the client's natural hair is clean, dry, and free of heavy styling products.

Select & Position

Place the topper over the thinning area. Ensure the base covers the entire affected zone with a 1–2cm margin. Check that the hairline or front edge sits naturally against the scalp.

Secure with Clips

Open the pressure clips and position them on the client's natural hair around the base perimeter. Close each clip firmly — silicone lining prevents slipping. For Mesh Base, an optional adhesive strip can be used at the front edge.

Blend & Style

Comb the topper hair gently into the client's natural hair. Use a curling wand or straightener to blend textures. Cut and layer the topper to frame the face. Finish with a lightweight serum.
